no arguments
I have gone back 2 pages and could not find where anyone had a confrontation about politics on this forum. I was a little PO at Quickiemonster on LC.COM at his responce that we force our beliefs on anyone else. I have not seen that here. I don't care if you like what I post about MY OPINION of the government, It is my opinion. Now you all can post what yours are. Which is what we have done so far here. The lake is one thing, however if we don't pay attention to what our government is doing you all won't have to worry about going to the lake, Obama and his crew will own it to. Religin is an area where I think it should not be in a forum. I say that because What you do in yours will not affect my life one bit. However everybody's voice on issues of government can and will affect me. I truly think thier rule about political issues are behind the times. All this about Jerry wanted this or that was porbably true, I bet today he would have a bunch to say about how our country is being run into the ground. I spoke with him a few times and we had several mails, I would not call him a friend, just someone I have met. i am saying this because so many at .com think that any confrontation is bad. I disagree. Look into all your lives. Can anyone of you say you never had a issue with your wife, boss, children, church or any other person. So to say that we can't talk about something is pure back ages. But it is thiers and the old foogies who hate change will continue to keep the site going by repeating what i saw on the news this morning at 6am. I will continue to visit there if allowed and every now and then post something. I just have a problem getting excited about 90% of the threads. But nice place to visit. I needed to get that off my chest here, as they are on a banning mode over there, so I will let my anger out on this side. In closing, I do want to say that I have absolutly NO problem with any of thier mods. Just with old folks who don't like change.

People will always have different views.

Re: no arguments

Re: no arguments
...and now that I am home and had time to read Jeff's entire post...
Remember Jefferina we don't diss other forums here... Who gets banned elsewhere is not our issue to worry with... We do our thing and other forums do theirs. I would not want anyone there telling me what to do and they haven't thus I try to be the same way...
I'm leaving your post here instead of taking it down below because I think if you actually typed that much and since it was not a angry degrading post I figured it would not hurt.

Re: no arguments
As I stated, it is MY OPINION and does not reflect any other persons. I am not angry, I was upset that QM said "forcing opinions on others". I am not forcing anything, I am stating an opinion. I am pleased that you left it up. I see nothing wrong with that post. I just think with the condition of our country that it should be discussed. I also think it is time for the US citizens to ban together, not bury heads in the sand because you don't agree with what someone might post. Those who oppose political discussion will soon see that when their taxes are raised, SS cut and jobs still at an all time low will think What the heck happened, when did they start this. I will then post in our political thread, SORRY CHARLIE, you should have discussed this with some of your friends or acquaintances and see what did happen while your head was in the sand and you did not want to hear an opinion.

Re: no arguments
I agree, I know our PACMAN says that we can't do anything about it but I really want to believe otherwise...

Well...It is late and I am on my last leg this week with more to come. In the gardening industry we are in full tilt boogie and I am dancin' my booty off. I am reading, but Spare hasn't motivated me lately to post. Maybe he will find one of those crazy forward things he likes for me to check out on snopes. LOL

Whew, I have been away for a while again......and apparently I missed something important!
Spare, I agree with you 100%, we don't always agree on this subject but that is a good thing, beacuse we live in a democracy and are allowed to disagree. I think we all learn a little something during these 'discussions' and sometimes we don't but either way we can't improve if we don't discuss it!
