Road "wishlist" presented to RC Fiscal Court

Post by DMS »

Larry Wilson, Regional Transportation Planner with the Lake Cumberland Area Development Dist., discussed long term planning for Russell Co at the Courts monthly meeting.

Some recommendations are;
widening of 127 from Cumberland Prky to Jamestown Bypass to 5 lanes.
reconstruction from Jamestown Square to JRM (ky92)
new interchange at Cumberland Prky/910 (gators)
reconstruction of Russell Springs interchange at Parkway

*info from Dec. 12 issue of The Times Journal

Marina/Ramp: Currently mostly out of Jamestown but spend a lot of time at the other Marinas.

Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me.

5 lanes of people doing 35 side by side. LMAO

WOULD LOVE to see from Jamestown to JRM widened though. Never understood how a road that has such large boats and equipment travelling it all summer is allowed to be so narrow in spots.

Yet it has worked all these years. Methinks it would be a tough fix plus they probably would do it during peak traffic season! :D #:-s #-o
