Wow they really have it cranked up trying to keep the levels under control. I'm heading down to the boat tonight but won't make as far as the dam to check it out.

And yet the d@mn dam is holding it at 694. :D

I wish they'd keep it there through summer.

Marina/Ramp: Currently mostly out of Jamestown but spend a lot of time at the other Marinas.

Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me.

Last minute decision not to head down. You are right about those roads. Even on a clear sunny day I hate driving them.

Oh yeah, there's no doubt I could make it. But it was going to be a short stay as I was planning on coming back tomorrow. But the 2.5hr trip could turn into a 4hr trip and that doesn't interest me. If you've ever driven the road to CS you know what I mean.

That being said, I have tried to get in touch with Bill Jasper about moving to State this yr but have had no luck so far. Left messages at the marina, sent email, and left voicemail on his cell. I guess there aren't any slips available for my boat.

Actually old chap I "live" 143 miles away. Looks like you have shortest drive and the best roads between the two of us :D

The only time we are 2 miles away is on the weekends. And besides all you have to do is call me, we would come down and help pull or dig you out! :ymhug:

John is down there now, he said the lake is up about 10 feet and has a LOT of debris and that he hasn't seen it look this dirty in a long time. He said it would be difficult to launch a boat at JRM now due to all the junk in the water.
