Nope...Due to the week delay in returning from FL, we will be in OH that weekend. Just changed the date from the weekend before to the weekend of the 15th. Can't change it again...katie wrote:re3too, you gonna make this one?

Captain's Compliments
Excellent way to kick off the season!
And it's nice that one of our premier marinas has taken the lead (again -wink, wink) to host a "forum party" that everyone can attend --without the drama (can I mention that word here?) that occurred previously.
Thanks to all who are involved in the planning .

Re: Spring Forum Party!
Rooster, that is very generous of you and I honestly hope that Mrs Captain and I will be able to visit and meet you and your crew sometime soon. As you may know, Mrs. Captain is not well and this has not only been a factor our getting out of boating a few years back and me taking a less active role in these forums but it keeps us pretty close to home most of the time. I regret that we will not be able to attend the Forum Party.TheOneAndOnlyROOSTER wrote:Me too, I have never met Capt. Bob, and he is welcome on the "Quarter More" anytime... "The door is open", sir!!!_____ wrote:Hope so.LC addict wrote:Does that mean that you and Mrs. Captain will be joining us?
Let me say here publicly that I honestly look forward to meeting _____ and Rooster. There was a time many years ago on that same forum when two other "characters" and "Captain Bob" were ...well... not real friendly. An opportunity arose where the three of us were able to meet face-to-face and it surprised all of us that none of us actually had horns coming out of our heads. Using our "real world" names and just being ourselves, we got over the initial apprehension and --the rest is history. I was proud to meet them and introduce them to my wife and even today, I consider both of them good friends and I would do anything for them. I won't mention names but many of you know them.
MY POINT IS THIS: Forum parties, raft-ups, get-togethers of any sort are wonderful opportunities to meet the person behind the forum name. I can't say that opinions will always be changed but, when you can just chat and learn more about folks, you will really enjoy the Lake Cumberland experience a lot more.
Now, back to the Forum Party information...
Re: Spring Forum Party!
We have met a few times. I guess that goes to show our personalities just don't jive because I remember it well. We don't see eye to eye. Which is cool with me. It was not meant for everyone in this world to get along. And I wish your better half the best. But for you to say you have taken a less active roll in lc.com (yeah we're allowed to mention other sites here) is just funny. In fact you have taken a proactive roll. I am getting grief from the mother of my four (4) children; so, I may not make it. Someone, please take plenty of pictures though of the band. Get to know those guys - they are a lot of fun with a lot of stories. Hopefully, they bring the one and only "Dale Baker" with them. I guarantee the music will continue onto their boatal late into the evening.
